In many Indian households, people still remain ready with a little extra food for some unexpected guests that they can have. From children’s plates as well you are sure to have something or the other left. If you are also disturbed about how to make use of food that is left in your kitchen, we have got some very creative ways to use it.

Bread

When you're bread starts to go stale, you don't have to throw it out. You can reinvigorate those stale slices of bread in the morning by making some french toast. The moisture from the batter and the heat combine to flavor and soften up your bread. In similar fashion, you can combine the stale, leftover bread bits you have and make homemade bread pudding.

Fruit and Vegetable Scrap

If you squeeze your own fresh juices, you can take the leftover pulp and combine it in water with cinnamon and ginger to make fruit tea.Or take your juice pulp and bake it into muffins, cakes, and cookies for added texture and flavor. You can also bake your vegetable pulp to make veggie crackers. You can also take the scraps of several vegetables and easily regrow them in nothing but water.

Rice

Leftover rice often gets thrown away because rice tastes so much better fresh. Rice pudding is often a good-to go in this case, because it’s quick, easy and delicious. And of course, if you’re up for dinner rather than dessert, there’s alwaysfried rice. Just also give yourself a second helping of rice!

Idli

What about when you are left over with idlis? Don’t worry, they can be given many different variations and taste to not let them go waste. The best part is they take less than 15 minutes to make and can help curb those mid-night hunger pangs. You can make many new snacks from plain idlis like fried idli, hot and sour idli, idli manchurian and much more.

Now no more food can get wasted because of these cool tricks. Avoid leaving excess of food in the refrigerator and whatever remains try using it in some way.
