I saw him in the evening going in the direction of his house. I asked him about his life, he smiled and said fine with tears in his eyes. He looked extremely worried. So, I asked him again, then he started crying and said, "It didn't rain this year and all my crops are destroyed and I have nothing in my hands". Yes you guessed right, he is a farmer. He works all day in his farm whether it is a rainy day or a sunny day. He said, "I have no money. I have to pay back my loan in following two days. I don't have money to send my children to school, I invest a lot of money on my crops but I don't get any output. I don't have any option other than suicide. They will ask for the money and I don't have a single penny to pay them". And then he started crying again. I tried to console him and helped him with the money that I had. I gave him water to drink and told that him everything will be fine and no need to worry. So he stopped crying and went to his house.

Next morning I saw many villagers going in the same direction. I asked them about the matter then I got to know that the person with whom I talked yesterday committed suicide. One more suicidal case of a farmer. Life is very hard for farmers but suicide is not the solution. I saw him hanging. His wife and children were crying. I can feel their pain. I am a farmer. He committed suicide because he thought people won't ask for money from his family. He thought that government would give money to his family after his death but he did not realize he left his family in pain.

Embarrassing situation

Farmers committing suicide is an embarrassing situation in the country. Don't you all think that this is a worrying situation for our country? Don't you think government should do something? Don't you think government should pay attention to us? Don't you think this is a critical issue? We farmers need help and support. They don’t have money even to send their children to the school. Even the children of farmers deserve to go to school and learn. The food that you eat comes from our farms so think please think about us.
