We all face some sort of stress. Either at home, at work or due to a bad interaction with someone. We feel stressed out even when the things don’t go the way we have planned them. The worst part about stress is that it goes unnoticed in initial stages. It can grow much bigger even before you can have a clue of it. You can’t be completely relieved of stress in this materialistic world but what you can do is to manage it properly. If you use that pressure in the right direction you will be able to attain heights and do excellent mentally, physically and emotionally. You have to fight back the stress that surrounds you with some effective stress-managing tricks. Mentioned here are some of the practical ways with which you can relax yourself within 5 minutes.

1. Nature’s sound Therapy

You surely will be a lover of that water babbling, leaves rustling, rain’s pitter-patter and many other such nature’s sounds.This is the most preferred buster of stress. Nature has the power to heal, its power lies even in its sounds. This therapy is super relaxing especially ocean sound (soothing sea waves sound). You can get these sounds either from YouTube or the apps available on app store and Google play store. These sounds are greatly effective even in making you fall asleep in your insomniac days.

2. Hot showers

You haven’t ever thought of that, right? But that’s true. This is the old-age way to burst your stress. This old technique is quite useful in case you don’t want to involve in an activity. Turn ON your favourite music, take a hot shower and voila!! You will get out of your bathroom with a “stress-free you”. You will be more cheerful than before.

3. Go OUTDOORS

This is what I love personally! I like going outdoors whenever I feel stressed-out. This is not because I am evading a problematic situation but this is sometimes much needed. You will surely find a solution to an issue in a calmer mind state than a chaotic one. So, start going out somewhere, have fresh air and forget the stressful life schedule for a while.

4. Put your hands on a good book

A “Good Book” is hard to define. But people know very well which kind of book can make their stress to bust. If you are a bibliophile, this is your cup of tea. From comics to fantasy novels, from autobiographies to biographies, pick up anything that blows off your stress. Books take you to another place, they make you live another life, they take you to a separate world and relax you.

5. Laugh and make people laugh

“Laughter is the best medicine.” Yeah! We all know that. But what ailments can it heal? Well, to give you a piece of good news, along with boosting your immunity system it can also lower the level of cortisol (hormone released under stressful situations). Comedy movies are something that you can give a shot in your stressful moments.

6. Positive Self-Talk

Let’s be honest here, we all talk to ourselves in our heads! And this talk can be positive as well as negative. When you have faced a stressful day at your school, college or at office, your mind may generate some negative thoughts at night. But, that is not how it should be. Such negativity further increases your stress level. Convert that negative to positive self-talks. Tell yourself what you are capable of. Change your “I can’t do this” statement to “I know how to tackle this!”

Getting stress is absolutely normal now-a-days in this busy world. But, neglecting to this truth will not help you in anyway. Accept the fact and start to work on the tips mentioned above before it’s too late.
