People often consider that feminism is hating men, insulting men and not getting married. But it is not a tag to be ashamed of. It should be embraced by everyone. So, what is feminism?
It is about Having an Equality in all spheres of life- political, social or cultural.
Having equal rights is having and providing equal opportunities to both the genders. Women have been fighting for this for a long period of time. People think that the concept of feminism is opposing men. No, it is not. It is about having equal rights and not facing any discrimination.
We always say that women are progressing, mindsets of people are changing. It is becoming more open and broad!
But I have a question?
Is it really?
Maybe yes, in some parts- yes it is changing. But we have a very long way to go. There is no such thing that only a man or a woman can do. If a man can do the work, women, if given opportunity and quality education, can also do.
I read a book -'We Should All Be Feminists' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. She describes feminism in a very unique and interesting way. It is all about equality:
At work
At Educational Institutions
At Politics
At Home
So, I have a question for you. Are you a feminist?
