Thin People Eating Junk, Staying Fit?
We all have that one friend who keeps on eating junk and thinks, “I am never going to be fat.” And here we are thinking that even air makes us gain weight.

We work-out, they don’t.
We eat healthy, they don’t.
Still who gets to stay slim? The answer remains unfair.
But is it really unfair when you think scientifically?
No, because they don’t put efforts on their body and eat what all they want. From those tiny chocolate balls to the scrumptious samosas. That indeed leads to storage of unnecessary fat in the body rather than lean muscles. They look slim and think that they will be healthy for life. But inside, they become more and more weak with the daily rotten intake. That is what you call Skinny Fat. Medically termed as MONW (Metabolically Obese, Normal Weight).

When they become old enough, there is high muscle loss. Their muscle starts to deteriorate but the fat remains there which makes them unhealthy. They may look great on the inside, but diseases like cardiac problems, stroke, low bone density, and diabetes have high chances of occurring.

Causes of Skinny Fat
Imbalance of the body composition, i.e., proportion of muscle to fat is the main reason of being skinny fat. For insulation(protection) and thermoregulation (process of maintaining inner body temperature), hormone production, and for safety of the vital organs, a certain amount of fat in your body is necessary. But too much of anything is bad. Same goes for the fat, even if it doesn’t show up externally, internally it will slowly deteriorate your health. You are fat, even if you don’t look like it!

Dangers of being Skinny Fat
People who have MONW will usually look skinny or normal from the outside. But because they tend to avoid any physical activity, it shoots up their fat percentage. Problems commonly faced by them are:

High Blood Pressure
High Levels of Inflammation in the Body
High Blood sugar
High Triglycerides (causes heart disease)
Vitamin Deficiencies
Digestive Issues
