Introversion is a central dimension trait of human personality. This trait usually depicts the quiet, reserved and introspective nature of a person who prefers to stay alone. Well, there are certain misconceptions related to introvert person as they are either considered to be shy or rude and in their case, both the scenarios are false. Let's dive into the nitty-gritty of their situation.

Finding a quiet place.

In research, it was found that their sense of well -being is attained in their alone-time. Unlike extroverts who get recharged by social gatherings, introverts seek quiet room to collect their thoughts. Their best thinking and opinions come when they are alone. They analyze every situation deeply. Being an introvert they are blessed with highly sensitized emotions. They connect situations or with people at a deeper level, so the crowd can sometimes overwhelm them. So at a times, it may get difficult for them to attend parties even when their presence is warranted. After a few minutes, they get a strong urge to leave parties. So they are constantly in search of excuses to distance themselves from such animalistic party behaviors. Beware if you are going with an introvert, they can easily bail on you.

Well, here's the thing we often confuse their behavior with social anxiety and shyness which is not true. Psychologically, these people find solace in solitude, so there this behavior has no links with anxiety or whatsoever.

Working in groups

Well, it is something they are not great with. They prefer working alone rather than in groups. The reason being they never volunteer to present their thoughts. However, an introvert person has high IQ because they are good at focusing their mind onto a particular aim. They can concentrate intensely for longer periods. If they put their mind onto something they certainly achieve that as they are intensely passionate.

However, they never prefer sharing their opinion in public due to the fear of humiliation. Intelligence is all about the creative mind and thinking and an introvert person excels in both cases as they focus their energy in observing a thing and analyzing the situation surrounding them rather than socializing.

A particularly interesting study showed that the brain works differently for introverts compared to extroverts.

German psychologist Hans Eysenck researched the brain of an introvert and found that introverts have a naturally high cortical arousal, meaning their ability to process information per second is higher than the average extrovert.

Get drained by social activities.

Attending schools, social interactions, the meeting can be exhausting for an introvert person. After attending these events they usually prefer a day reading a book and sipping on some caffeine to fuel themselves.

Attending calls, even when you are not prepared!!

Well, this can be a hell lot frustrating. At a times you just don't feel like socializing or talking to someone especially when it is your rest day. You try to be cheerful while talking to them which in reality can be quite distressing. And the worst part is when you are trying to cut the conversation short and the other person won't pick up the hint and just goes on blabbering.

Well, folks next time you meet an introvert, you should know that they are not antisocial, it just their introversion trait which doesn't feel like socializing much. And overly socializing behavior can get on their nerves.
