Made of fresh green mustard leaves served hot with mustard oil. It is usually served with makki ki roti which is a chapati made of corn flour.
DAL BAATI CHOORMA of Rajasthan
The most famous Rajasthani dish which is eaten with spicy dal served with crunchy batis and sweet churma.
KHAMAN DHOKLA of Gujarat
It is a soft spongy dish made from soaked chana dal and chana flour which is appropriate for breakfast and can also be eaten as snacks. It is very light and usually eaten with sweetened chilly.
POHAY AND VADA PAV of Maharashtra
The locally cooked Poha is usually spicy, made of flattened rice and different veggies. It is generally eaten as breakfast or lunch. Vad pav is an another famous Maharashtrian food which is a bread bun consisting of fried potato dumpling served with chilly and locally made green sauce.
HYDERABADI BIRYANI
It is a rice and meat dish also considered as the dish of Nizam. A very spicy dish induced with different local spices is a must try food.
IDLI SAMBAR of Tamil Nadu
It is a popular south Indian breakfast. Idli, a type of rice cake is served hot with sambar which is a delicious vegetable stew. This dish is a must try for every Tamil Nadu visitor.
ALOO PITIKA of Assam
Aloo pitika is a signature dish of Assam made of mashed potatoes in mustard oil with green chillies and onion.
