Edison probably saw it coming, hence he rightly quoted
"A single sheet of paper can't decide my future. Can it?"
One line followed this sentence, which no one noted,
"Because your world revolves around a quota. Go get it."

Thomas Edison was indeed a person with a tremendous farsight. He knew that answersheets, today, won't mean a thing. Nor would your personality or caliber matter. Only the name of that caste to which you belong, would make a difference. Indeed, it is making a huge difference. A difference that is making communism win over talent. A difference where being oppressed is making you the oppressor. The best part about it is that it is expatriating talent and prodigy out of our nation. And then some leaders say that Indians are flying abroad while India is making the same environment for them here only. No doubt, the environment is similar to the ones overseas. But not for the unreserved. Not for the unreserved.

Reservation system was first introduced in the 20th century by Shahu, the Maharaja of Kolhapur, for the betterment of non-Brahmins and other backward classes. He provided free education to EVERYONE.

Post independence, this job was assigned to Mandal Commission. Quota system was supposed to be applicable for 10 years only. The vision behind this mission was that till then, the status of the backward classes might get improved. Their status did improve, but it led to many problems that have left their pervasive impact on India. An impact that is weakening our foundation.

This quota system is probably that "Brain Drain" Dadabhai Naoroji was talking about. What can be a better example of it than Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google. There are a lot of memes saying "India's gem becomes the CEO of Google". Get your facts clear! He is an American citizen. Had he still worked in India, he would not have surpassed the big wall of reservation quota. This is just one example. There are people who are seeking jobs overseas, knowing the fact that many sectors have jobs reserved for the oppressed classes. Some are going out to study, because our education system is heavily termited by it.

Let's talk about engineering only. To crack JEE Mains, a General student would have to score atleast 74 marks, while the minimum marks for a student of SC, ST, OBC and PwD is 73. PwD can get through the examination with a minimum score of -35. Practically it means that you just go there, write your name, sleep the exam out, and pass. All hail the education system.
