A joker is a person who tries to make others happy by performing the joking activities.
A person who is fond of joking.
People laugh at them and jokers show that they are feeling very pleasant to be laughed at.
But is it true?
The face hidden behind the mask also has feelings.

Literally they are called clowns.
There are three basic types of clowns that appear in the circus: thewhiteface, theaugusteand thecharacter clowns.

Each of these types of clown may wear a makeup that is eitherneatorgrotesque.

The whiteface clown :

The whiteface clown holds the highest status in the clown hierarchy.
They often wear the ruffled collar and pointed hat which typify the average person's idea of a "clown suit".

The auguste :

Accompanying the white clown there is often another clown variety known as an auguste or red clown. The auguste's role is different from that of the white clown. The augustes are the ones who get the pies in the face, are squirted with water, are knocked down on their backside, sit accidentally in wet paint, or have their trousers ripped off.

The base colour for the auguste makeup is red or flesh tone. The eyes and the mouth are encircled in white and the features are highlighted. They boast wide-collared shirts, long neckties, unruly coloured wigs and oversized noses and shoes.

The character clown :

The character clown adopts an ecentric character of some type, such as a butcher, a baker, a policeman, a housewife or hobo.

The character clown makeup is a comic slant on the standard human face. Their makeup starts with a flesh tone base and may make use of anything from glasses, mustaches and beards to freckles, warts, big ears or strange haircuts.

The jokers feel and express powerful and intense emotions. They respond to events which often seem to us, normal. If all of a sudden a the door closed,a joker may become happy as if this was the greatest and most wonderful thing that had ever happened in his life, and at the next moment he might become completely and inexplicably depressed.

Whatever their reactions may be, jokers are expressive and fragile in their emotions: they stay very close to what is happening inside them without worrying too much about whether it makes sense or is the right thing to do.

For a joker, the emotional state generated by an event is perceived as an overwhelming experience; it is this obsessive and frantic perception of feelings which forces the joker to identify the world around.

The joker is also a super concentrated source of sugary fantasies.

The great difficulty of improvisation work is that it requires us to be aware of things that are happening in the present. Which is just as well because the joker is someone who lives in the present. But the experience of improvising often brings with it the very fear which can inhibit expression.

Thejokers distance themselves from madness, feelings, logic or with the rhythm of bodily movements.

It is important to realise that when feelings and emotions in clowning become too strong, they have the freedom to play with them.

They too have feelings like a normal person. They smile, they cry, feel sorrow, love people and other creatures, become aggressive, and feel happiness too. They watch the world as if everything has been meant to give pleasance to the heart. Everyone is meant to be happy.
