Netflix and other digital media have completely taken over print media, but honestly nothing can beat the feeling of you in your pajamas, sipping a hot cup of tea with a book in your hand. People like me love sniffing through books.

Here are a few books you should definitely read before embarking on your 20s journey taking some time out of your busy life.

1. Girl, Interrupted

This is a story about an 18 year old girl who spent about two years in a psychiatric hospital after being diagnosed with borderline personality. The book's clear,crisp and spare prose style is so elegant and masterful that I like to describe it to as "lyrical prose” ; almost poetic. It is a masterpiece by the author Sylvia Path.

2. The Norwegian Wood

This is one of the most famous books by Haruki Murakami. The author focuses on human behavior and relationships and guides the readers through some of life's darkest and most dangerous territory. This novel gives the adolescent readers many valuable life lessons.

3. Pride and Prejudice

This is a novel which mostly falls into the romantic genre and it's by the author Jane Austen. This book teaches people the difference between beauty and sophistication and also portrays that introversion is normal and the richness of letting people evolve. One of the most thoughtful things this book teaches which most people realise very late in life is“Don't take snap judgements”

4. If I Stay

This book by Gayle Forman is one of the very few books which lead to spiritual awakening in people and this book is definitely one of them. It subtly delivers a life lesson that every person in the midst of a crisis should realise. This is a must read for everyone.

5. Harry Potter Series

Ah, so I saved the best one for the last. It's a classic by JK Rowling. It makes people believe in magic and transports us to another world. Most of the people might have seen the movies and at least once would've thought that they also want to be a wizard. The book is a much more magical experience which everyone should have atleast once in their life.
