I study in a residential university. So yeah the entire lot of students stay in the hostels. Internals; that time of the month when the hostels corridors are quiet- either they're all studying or sleeping. The only time when students actually open the books. The only time when everyone sits together and teach one another, learn new things and clearly devoted to studying. Apart from the whole learning and exam part. There's a side which clearly is annoying and unnecessary but it always happens. Day in day out, any room every room will have some or the other issue coming up every time there's Internals.

One will want to sleep early at night and wake up early to study in the morning whereas the other might be the complete opposite. One might study all day whereas the other might study an hour before leaving for the exam. One might need to jam to music out loud to study while the other might get distracted to music. One might finish the exam in the morning and come back and sleep like a log which tends to make the other roommate lose interest in studying for the afternoon exam. One might study out loud and the other prefers silent learning. If you study all day then you are a nerd and if you don't, well there's two scenarios to this, You might be a know-it-all so you don't need to study cause you're going to ace it anyway! or might be in the category which is, you think you're a swag and you think you're too cool to study. Well I hope you don't fall into the third category. If you're the one who knows every concept in and out then well you're in demand. If you're a smooth talker then you'll have a lot of the other students forcing you to ask your staff for 'important questions'. There's food in the room round the clock. Ppt's, notes, textbooks, Google and Youtube become our overnight teachers! WhatsApp being our medium to share all the documents and WhatsApp class groups being active all day.

Have you heard of the rounding of time concept? Well this is very common among students, most of us tend to start studying at round hours. Hence they tend to take prolonged breaks and delayed starts.

Some can also tend to become selfish, self-absorbed and confine themselves to their room. People tend to get serious and start worrying about their future, aims and goals!

But through all this what you get to see is how students are very helpful, at least most of them. Each one spending time to teach one another and learn together. Though we all get playful and start jamming to songs, probably watch movies or sit and chit-chat. But what makes me content is that students spend the most time with each other during exam time! It's nice to see that they're not sinking with their phones in bed like usual days. The time spent together in teaching one other increases and strengthens the bonds the students have with each other. It makes us better students and get different perspectives.

This is the scenario in a hostel during the Internals. Things get hectic but we create the best of memories we could possibly make!
