If you are a demigod born from the interaction between your mortal parent and a Greek God, Camp Half-Blood is the place that might just be able to keep you safe from the monsters that hunt you down. There are staff there, but I’ll get to them at a later point in time. But let’s take a look at the cabins which belong to the children of various gods.

Cabin 1, Zeus

It is the largest cabin because Zeus is the king of all the gods. A huge marble structure with heavy columns, which make it look more like a mausoleum. It has big bronze doors polished in such a way that it creates a holographic effect of lightning. The interior has a dome-shaped ceiling with moving mosaics which have the shapes of clouds and lightning. There’s usually a low rumble of thunder constantly echoing inside. In the centre is a Greek chiton statue of Zeus. It used to be empty for a long time until Thalia Grace was revived. But she went on to become a hunter of Artemis. So, after a while, her brother Jason Grace was the sole occupant during the time he spent at CHB until he died.

Cabin 2, Hera

Also a large marble structure, but with slender columns which are garlanded with pomegranates and flowers. The walls and doors have peacocks carved all over them. Nobody ever occupies Cabin 2, because of the fact that Hera has no offspring with humans. This is because she is the goddess of marriage and can’t afford to cheat on her husband, Zeus. Not that she would want to, anyway.

Cabin 3, Poseidon

Now, this is home. Poseidon is one of the Big Three – Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. After a particular incident involving demigods, the three had made a deal not to have any interaction with humans. But all of them had slip-offs. This is the reason that their cabins had no occupants for a while. Poseidon’s cabin was empty until Percy Jackson showed up, and then Tyson appeared a year later.

The cabin is a low building with the doors facing the ocean. Made of rough sea stone, embedded with coral and seashells. The door is made of bronze, with the image of a trident and the number 3 on it. To Percy, it apparently smells like the beach at Montauk where his mother met Poseidon. The interior walls are made of Abalone, and there are six bunk beds inside. There is also a salt water fountain made of grey sea rock shaped like a fish. There are also stone seahorses in the fountain, which actually moved. Definitely, a place I would want to stay in.

Cabin 4, Demeter

This is where the kids of the goddess of agriculture live. The walls and doorways are covered with flowers and tomato plants. The porch is covered with wildflowers and roses. The cabin has a roof made of glass, like a greenhouse. The ceiling is held up by a large oak tree in the centre of the cabin’s interior. And the floor surrounding the oak tree is filled with grass. Four people have been mentioned to have occupied Cabin 4 at different points of time. Katie Gardner was the former counsellor of Cabin 4, followed by Miranda Gardiner running it currently. Other occupants are Meg McCaffrey and Billie Ng.
