There are about 4,300 religions and 6,800 living languages in the world. Nearly 75% of the world's population practices one of the 5 most influential religions of the world : Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism.
So, everyone of us prays to a God almost everyday. And we believe strongly that God fulfils all our wishes, at times we also blame God for our miseries.
You may be praying to Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Jesus or Allah.
So, when you are praying you have a figure of some Lord in your mind.
All the religions have some concept of God. Within the different religion God has been pictured as a male or female human being, as various kind of mammals, bird, fish , reptiles and insects, as a being with a human body and the head of an animal, as a tree or a plant, as lightening and thunder, as the sun, moon, or stars and in many other ways.
Does God have a multiple personality disorder?
How could one God be so many different things all at once?
There's one possibility!
May be all the religions have got it wrong. Or may be there's one that got it right.
#The people who believe in religion thinks they are the ones who have the real truth about the God.
Now, as people of every religion claim that their belief system is the right one.
Who's confused?
God or human?
Did God say us to make religions in his/her name?
Oh! God has been speaking to many prophets and priests over ages and some of them have written what God said to them.
But does that mean the listener heard exactly what God said or was it just their interpretation?
#We perceive things, surroundings and people just the way we are!
God says the same thing to all people everywhere, each one of us hear it differently according to our own particular culture, experiences and beliefs.
#True religion is not a narrow dogma. It is not external observance. It is faith in God and living in presence of God.
It means faith in a future life, in truth and non-violence.
Religion is a matter of heart. No physical inconvenience can warrant abandonment of one's own religion.
There is no such thing as conversion from one faith to another in the accepted sense of the world. As, all religions are true and also all have some error in them.
#You receive answers to prayer because of mental acceptance about what you pray.
- Religious affiliation is not what makes prayer effective.
- Whatever you can and do accept on conscious level has to be accepted by your subconscious as well.
#The subconscious mind is subject to the conscious mind.
So, when we pray to our respective God we consciously convince ourselves that now my wishes will be fulfilled and hence our subconscious mind takes it as command and prompts us to work towards our goals or wishes.
Man punishes himself with his false concept of God.
- We create our own miseries. No one else does it for us.
- We subconsciously frame ourselves in inevitable issues and circumstances, then blame God for it!
"Everyone has faith in God though everyone doesn't know it. For everyone has faith in himself and that multiplied to the nth degree is God. The sum total of all that lives is God, even as a little drop of water is of the ocean. "
Finally, let me make it very clear I'm not an atheist. I strongly believe in a supreme power, which we have named as God. I am a Hindu by religion and worship all Gods with same respect in my heart.
