Looking after your mental health is as important as looking after your physical health . Depression , anxiety , stress is not a recent phenomenon.It has been there since time immemorial . Earlier people never use to raise their voice against mental health issues , but now time is changing gradually . Mental health has become a significant issue .There was and still now a lot of stigmas present regarding mental health .Here I am to write a few words about my very own depression story . I am twenty year old . I was diagnosed with clinical depression this year .The causes of my depression ranges from not one but many .Out of which one of the cause includes leaving attachment with my boyfriend.He wasn't just a boyfriend to me , he was like a father , mother , mentor to me . I got too much dependent on him and thereby the relationship lost its charm .He felt that we are incompatible to each other and we shouldn't be together , I felt such an unexpected blow in my chest , I can never explain the feeling . It felt as though I was in a boat sailing across a turbulent ocean of life with my companion and amidst the turbulence my companion left my hand . Everyday i use to feel direction less. I almost left the urge of living . One fine morning I decided to see a psychiatrist as I was not been able to take up the pain all by myself .There i couldn't speak a word , i only cried. The doctor is a very gentle person , he advised me what to do and what not to . Also he made it clear to me that I am my only best friend . Also I'm stronger than most other person. Presently I'm under medication and I'm far better than what I was earlier. I wish people should no more stigmatise depression as a shame . They should raise their voice and deal with it.
