On 15th February 2019, a new chapter was added to the history of Indian Railways. A semi high-speed intercity electric multiple units were launched to run between Varanasi to New Delhi by our honourable prime minister Shri Narendra Modi. It was designed in India only under the Make in India initiative by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.
The train provides first-class facilities to its passengers, considered as a big achievement by matching the global standards of performance, safety and comfort of its passengers too. Vande Bharat Express is now the fastest train in India with a speed of 160 kmph. The train showcases the complete hard work in design, manufacturing, computer modelling and a large number of people involved in it. The route covered by this train is Varanasi to Delhi via Kanpur and Prayagraj, taking about 8 hours to reach the destination with normal and executive chair car services in it.

Computerized driver cabin
With smart technologies fully computerized with aerodynamic drivers cabin, this design provides high speed and stability.
Fully automatic doors
Having automatic doors in a train is a new thing in our country which is served in Vande Bharat Express. Installation of these doors at the main entrance as well as the respective coaches.
WiFi and CCTV
Facilities of WiFi and CCTV cameras in train and information screens with GPS so that there's is no need to ask some else about the time to reach your destination. Charging sockets are fixed at every seat so no need to wait for your turn to charge your phone.
Toilets with bio vacuum
As we know cleanliness matters the most and Indian railway has taken the bug step by installing bio vacuum toilets in trains with both Indian and western style toilets.
Such advancement in the history of railways is a big achievement for our country and the government.
