I am a big fan of chess.
Whenever I feel lazy , which I usually do, I wander through some of the best matches available online.
Unlike most players who prefer reading chess moves and memorizing them such as King’s Pawn opening , Evan’s Gambit , King’s gambit , Queen’s Gambit , Two Knights attack , Sicilian Defense and many more, I prefer playing according to opponent’s weakness.
My strategy is very simple. Just play with the rival’s psychology.
“Chess is a war over the board. The object is to crush opponent’s mind” - Bobby Fischer
Whatever steps you are expecting next, have a blockade against that. Simple, isn’t it?
Recently, I’ve started playing tournaments.
Playing and mastering chess has always been in my bucket list.
“Every chess master was once a beginner.” – Irving Chernev
I have much more to acquire.
They say , there are 10 to the power 12 ways to play moves in a chess game.
Clearly shows that it is a never ending process.
“Chess is life in miniature. Chess is a struggle, chess battles.” – Garry Kasparov
I first played chess when I was in 2nd standard. After that, I played only when I was in 8th standard.
Now, I regularly play chess to improve the thinking process of the brain.
“Chess doesn’t drive people mad, it keeps mad people sane.” – Bill Hartston
I usually look for benefits from the work I do. I don’t know if it’s good or not. But this is what I actually learnt from this game :
Chess is not always about winning. Sometimes it’s simply about learning. And so is life.
Cheers.
