Venice is the city of bridges, masks and canals. It is renowned for its architecture and artwork. As we all know it is also called the floating city. To add to its beauty, another artist successfully returns to Venice with another monumental sculpture.

Lorenzo Quinn:

Lorenzo is an Italian sculptor and the son of the Oscar award-winning actor, Anthony Quinn. He is very ambitious in his work and never fails to amaze people may it be Mumbai, New York or Venice. His thought and works send a message of unity and hope to people. His artwork always creates an immediate impact. His work called the support in the year 2017 in Venice created worldwide acclaim. Yet another artist with magical hands!

The arsenal:

The Arsenal is Venice's iconic shipyard where the powerful naval fleet of Venice was built since the 12th century. This is also the place where Venice made its name into a trading empire through the help of commercial ships. This historical place was selected as the base for the artwork.

Building bridges:

This was his most ambitious project. This was a monumental installation that adds to the beauty of Venice. There are six pairs of hands stretching and joining together making the bridge of unity. This sculpture stretches across the basin of the legendary Arsenal. These hands support the nature of unity in the world where borders and walls are raised to divide people.

The six pairs:

According to Quinn, the six pairs resemble six important virtues of humans: wisdom, help, hope, faith, friendship and love. The hands speak these values through touch. Strength, positivity and empathy flow and surround the sculpture.
