Look, you really can't. You really can't fail...

but you're going to mess up. You're going to mess up a lot. You're going to mess up so many times that it starts to feel like a failure. But I promise you it's not. It's really not. If there were anything I could give you from my weight loss journey, it would know that as long as you don't quit, as long as you keep getting back on track, you're going to make it.

This isn't some motivational "you can do it!" or "impossible is nothing" chant. You really can't fail if you keep getting back on track.

Back on track doesn't mean doing everything correctly. Back on track simply means putting in your best efforts for the day, and continue to do it every day after that. Some days your best might only be 10% of what you hoped for. Others might be 30%, 50%, or even 90%. Every day will be different. Life's different every day. But if you're giving it, you are all every single day, that's all it takes to inch closer & closer towards your goals.

It's perfectly fine to take breaks too. Is life getting too much to handle? Take a break. A day, a few days, a week, a month? Sure. It's not a big deal as long as you get back on track. In the short term, it might feel like all your efforts went to waste, but I promise it didn't. It the long run it makes no difference. A 60-day break makes no difference if you've been going at it for 300 days over the year. Breaks are important. Once you take them, you are relaxed. You are more eager to join live your routine life.

It's ok to mess up. It's perfectly normal to mess up. It's going to take a long time. A ridiculously long time. However long you think it's going to take, double it. No triple it. Quadruple it.

In 10 years time, you're not going to care if it took you five months, five years, or 7 years, but you're going to care that you made it. You made it while creating sustainable habits on the way to keep you there.

Forget what happened yesterday, last week, or this year so far. As long as you get back on track, as long as you don't quit…

you're going to make it
