Don't "fake it till you make it." That is garbage advice.
Face it till you make it.
Get up. Work hard. Fail. Stand back up. Face it again. Do a little better. Fail again. Get back up.
Repeat.
Simple doesn't mean easy. Simple doesn't take you being tired, stressed, or overwhelmed into consideration. Simple doesn't account for your birthdays, holidays, work events, and get together.
Simple doesn't mean you won't have shitty days or be overwhelmingly tired or lose motivation.
Simple means simple. That, in theory, the process of fat loss is basic and easy to understand. Which is true? Fat loss *is* simple. But easy? Not even close. And it's important to remember this because time and again you'll be sold on pills and potions and powders and spells and charms and humdingers and doodads that make fat loss quick and easy and painless and fast.
It's not. It's a struggle. We can make it simpler and easier to understand. But there will always be struggles that come along with it.
Which is a good thing, I think. There's something to be said for overcoming an obstacle. For trying and failing and trying and failing and never giving up until you succeed. That's what makes this process so rewarding. If it were easy, you wouldn't feel so good when you achieved your goal.
My point? Embrace the suck. Live for the struggle. Don't let it overwhelm you or keep you down. Let it motivate you. Inspire you. Keep you excited and hungry for more. Because as long as you don't give up, you will win. It's not a matter of if - merely a matter of when.
Don't give up. Keep going. You got this. I believe you in you.
Whatever your goal is...whatever you want to do...whatever you're working day-in and day-out for...do or don't for a second think about faking it.
Be open and honest about who you are and where you are in your journey.
Don't know the answer? Say so. Then do the work and spend the time researching to find out.
Your power, influence, and ability to help people are built on a foundation of trust. Faking it might make it appear as though you're doing well. Especially in the short-term. But long-term, it never plays out.
Be open and honest.
Get up. Work hard. Fail. Stand back up. Face it again. Do a little better. Fail again. Get back up. Repeat.
The magic lies in the journey. The good and the bad. The great moments and the messy.
Be you who you are right now. At this moment, No one can fault you for that. And you'll never regret being real. Ever.
You got this. Whatever your goal is, whatever you want to do. Whatever you're working so hard to achieve...you've got this. I know you do.
Just keep being you. And prepare to "face it" every damn day.
