However, there are still boundaries and stigmas when it comes to various aspects of school being. One of them, being the school uniforms and its need to wear it.Till today's date, discussion is still going on whether the students should wear school uniform or wear their choice of clothes. Wearing a cool uniform has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Is there any need to wear school uniforms

Wearing a school uniform has its own advantages. One of the best advantages is that it teaches the students to dress smartly and taking pride in his school uniform which he wears, as by wearing the same school uniform all students look the same as per their appearance, thereby, maintaining uniformity. School uniform emphasis the atmosphere of studying. It also saves time, as the student already knows what he/she has to wear the next day for school.

School uniform represents the school, as the different school has different types of uniform. One can easily know about the school by only looking at the school uniform. School uniform also saves money. As the students don't have to bother themselves buying new clothes for every day.

It also reduces peer pressure. Student uniforms reduce the impact of stress-related problems caused because of the inequalities that the students see with their clothing and fashion compared with their friends, it is possible for student attendance to increase.

School uniform maintains equality between students, as the students will not have any grudges against each other and they will form no group which can target a particular student or a particular group.

Is there any disadvantages of wearing school uniform

School uniform has its advantages, it has some disadvantages too. Through school uniform, the students are not able to express themselves. Some student are able to express themselves properly through communication, so through other methods, they express themselves. One way to express themselves is through clothing. If the students wear school uniform, they are not able to express themselves. Most times, school uniforms teach students it is more important to think and act like a group instead of thinking and acting like an individual. If the uniform policies are not carefully made and monitored, then this policy cannot become successful.

There are so many socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures. School uniform students cannot represent themselves from which culture they belong. As they will all look the same. If the students interact through their uniform from which culture they belong to, then it will be more effective to emphasize true equality within the society at large.

Some people think that students wearing school uniform is a necessity. They should wear school uniforms as it shows their identity. There are so many advantages and disadvantages we are not able to decide by just looking at it. Proper discussions have to be done before reaching any decision.
