Cleopatra-VII, a name, which had a huge impact on changing the political shape eastern-central Europe, Egypt and northern Africa. Even after nearly two-thousand years after her death, her life is still a topic of mysteries and power for this generation.
Cleopatra was so beautiful, that if a man once saw her, he can never forget about her ravishing beauty in his entire life. It is said that she is one of the most beautiful women even existed but, along with that, she was intelligent, cunning and conspirator.
She did everything to become a political power and use her beauty as her weapon. Because of this, she had many relationships with men.
The last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Cleopatra-VII, was born around 69BC.
Cleopatra was a Greek word, that symbolizes, the glory of the father. Her father died when she was 17 years old. Her father was a king and after his death, the kingdom and all the wealth was inherited between her and her brother, Ptolemy XIII and according to the Egyptian culture, she was going to wed to her brother.
But because of the imbalance in political power, she was a force to leave her own kingdom, she was destined to rule.
Soon, she met Julius Ceasar, the king of the Roman Empire. When he saw her for the first time, he was drowned in her beauty and gorgeous looks.
She trapped him in her beauty and love. She seduced Julius and provokes him to attack and invade Egypt. Julius attacks Egypt and kills the brother of Cleopatra, Ptolemaic, who was the ruler of the Egyptian Empire. He made Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt and the era of her political power begins.
According to the Egyptian culture of that time, the ruling brother had to wed their sister in order to remain the royal in the family. So, Cleopatra needs to wed another younger brother, Ptolemaic IV.
But Cleopatra wants to rule the kingdom by herself. She murders her brother/husband and another younger sister in order to eliminate all the royal competition from the throne.
After making Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, Julius Ceasar, wants to marry her and to make her the Queen of Rome. But the people of Rome opposes this marriage and Cleopatra becomes his mistress countable. Julius also had a son with Cleopatra.
But Cleopatra is not satisfied with her rule in Egypt and wants to spread her kingdom in Rome. For this, she seduces Anthony, who was the General of Julius and married him.
Soon, she had three children with Anthony and they plan to kill Julius Ceasar. After the death of Julius Ceasar, his kingdom was inherited by his son Octavian Ceasar.
But Anthony opposed the rule of Octavian and this led to rebellion. The huge army of Octavian crushed Anthony and Cleopatra fled the battle and returned to her home.
Octavian wants to kill the traitor Anthony at any cost and soon he joined hands with Cleopatra. Cleopatra also wants to become more powerful and she plots the murder of Anthony and kills him.
Cleopatra also wants to seduce Octavian in order to become the Queen of Rome but Octavian treats her like an enemy and started a war on Egypt and invade her kingdom. Weak, terrified Cleopatra invades the battlefield and hid with her few friends.
The death of one most beautiful woman is still a mystery for us. Some people said that Octavian murders her and some said she suicide using poison but no solid proof is available.
