As the name suggests, Plush 28, has some plush interiors and a very inviting décor. It’s located in AD-58 of Salt Lake, Kolkata and one has to climb the stairs to reach the restaurant. The seating arrangement is quite cozy I would say, with enough space between tables. Padded walls and eccentric lighting adorn the ambiance inside. The restaurant is 100% vegetarian and I must say, is a delight when it comes to veg food. We seated comfortably and the staff were up on their feet right away.

The Plush 28 menu includes Indian, Continental & Chinese cuisines. We started off with some soups, Veg Clear Soup & Minestrone Soup. Both were Excellent and tasted out of this World. Post soups, it was time for some kebabs. The green peas cheese kebab is probably the best kebab of such sorts that I had in a long time. Molten cheese oozing out of the kebab is as delectable as it can get. Highly recommended.

To get our hands on other kebab options, we chose the Plush 28 Kebab Platter and Cheese Fondue. The platter included:

Gupchup Pizza: Gupchup/Puchka (Suji Puchka) stuffed with fillings and topped with cheese. There was nothing too special about it.

Crispy Chilli Baby Corn: Lived up to its name. Very crispy and just the right amount of spice.

Ulte Tawa Malai Kebab: Very somber but tasted great. It was not spicy, rather inclined a bit towards the sweet side.

Paneer Banjara: Another fantastic offering from Plush 28. The paneer was incredibly soft and melted in mouth. This is a must try dish.

Cheesy Badami Aloo: For those who love potatoes (Me :P). Just cooked perfectly with tender spices and melted cheese on top.

The Cheese Fondue had sautéed broccoli, baby corn, croutons and CHEESE. Yes. Cheese cubes to be dipped in cheese fondue sauce. How cheesy can it be?

They have a huge mocktail collection also. You will be spoilt for choice. We tried the good ol’ Soda Shikanji, Ginger Lemon Ice Tea & Fire-on-Ice. All tasted exceptionally well. For dessert, it was Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream. The taste was good, but the chocolate sauce was burnt to some extent when it was poured on the hot iron plate. The salad they give (cucumber & carrot) is tossed in lemon juice, jeera powder and salt. I loved it!

I would highly recommend this place for those who love family gatherings and wanting vegetarian food. The staff is polite and very courteous. The link to Plush 28 Zomato page is here!
