Met Gala'19

The Met Gala is one of the highest fundraising event of the fashion calendar. This event invites celebrities from all over the world to encourage donations.Met Gala always has unique themes that are all about over the top fashion. Previous themes include Heavenly Bodies : Fashion and the Catholic imagination, Manus x Machina, Punk : Chaos to Couture and China : Through the Looking glass. This year's theme was Camp : Notes on Fashion.This year's Met Gala marked the 71th anniversary and was co-chaired by Lady Gaga, Alessandro Michelle, Harry Styles and Serena Williams. This year's Met Gala brought in some iconic looks, some wacky over the top looks as well as some looks that weren't appreciated much. Indian celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra also attend the fashion event. This year’s theme took fashion to another phase, where celebrities flaunted their iconic and gorgeous looks.

A few of my favorite looks from this year's Met Gala are :

1)Lady Gaga -

The queen as camp, rightly said her look this year was the most talked about because she not only gave an appearance but she also had an entire show with 4 outstanding outfits. From her wacky meat dresses this year Lady Gaga did not settle for anything less, by giving an iconic performance with four change overs.

2) Kylie and Kendall -

This duo made it to the talks by depicting the look of Cinderella's wicked sisters and made it fashion. They pulled off the look so well that they were called as one of the best dressed for the event!

3)Celine Dion -

Not a stranger to dramatic looks, this year the queen made an equal dramatic appearance. She was inspired by the Glitzycostumes of Ziegfeld Follies. Her dress was almost 22 pounds. But she owned the dress, as usual.

4) Billy Porter -

This man set the carpet on fire, he served an iconic look sticking to the theme of camp. With dramatic wings and the glitzy gold, he truly served the look.

5) Emily Ratajkowski -

The model left no chance to show off her flawless body, with a dramatic headgear as well as a gorgeous pair of wings. It was an interpretation of the bold Bob Mackie dress. She truly owned the look and looked nothing less than an ethereal goddess!
