"He's a man of commitment, focus, and sheer will. He once killed three men in a bar with a pencil".
The moment we(John Wick fans) hear the first line, we get super excited and start thinking of the pencil fight.
John Wick is not just a fictional character anymore, he is turning out to be a myth, legend in recent times with increasing popularity and fandom. People want him to be a part of Avengers but he's playing a role in Toy Story 4. The way he taught us how shooters really hold guns, the too realistic reloading of the guns, the original action sequences where we enjoy the main lead doing action, not some stunt double.
It all started when the group of bad guys kills John Wick's dog and steals his car from his after a few days of his wife's demise. If someone told me that a guy hunted an entire city's mafia just for his dog, I wouldn't have believed it before watching John Wick.
The third part is out now and has been bigger than ever.
So, why exactly is this a big deal?
Have you observed the change in gangster movies where the gangsters are well dressed, organized, more realistic and have rules of their own?
All these changes are just because of one movie ' John Wick '.
No one imagined a group of gangsters to have their own currency, hierarchical power, organized crime, professional cleaners, doctors, ammo sellers, jackets with bulletproof layers before John Wick.
The brilliance of the movie lies in the story too,not just the action sequences.
It tries to teach us a few important things too, Yes! but you should observe carefully.
When one cannot face the consequences of their deeds, they shouldn't do those things.
Without them, we would be living with animals. It's surprising yet awesome that these cold-blooded criminals live on their own riles.
Remember how John Wick stores his extra pair of clothing, some currency, etc, in unexpected places? That's what I'm talking about.
Always have backups.
Just because a dog that his wife gave as the last present, if a person is fighting against the world, if that's not love I don't know what is.
Special mention goes to the director and action choreographers of this film. I was so dumbfounded watching the action scenes and couldn't understand how people are really liking the lengthy fight scenes. The answer was given by Keanu Reeves himself, " The fights, action in the movie is prominent because the makers wanted it to look like dance ", a controlled, professional flow of fights make them unique.
