Your Pleasure, My Shame?

The lesser she exposes the more respected she will be. Because girls from good families don’t show their skin. Which goes to say that girks who show skin- deserve it? And so days after we killed the men that raped India’s daughter. We discovered there wasn’t just one of her, so many other girls go through this. No you may call her ‘fearless’with pride, but I guess it’s time that you realise we are all, unfortunately, daughters of nation that only wants fearless daughters homes outside of their own. We take part in candle march for someone else’s daughter and yet we cage our own.

I understand that you are going to go to the furthest of your powers to take away her rights because you are petrified of her strengths, because you genuinely don’t believe that liberation and education of women is what will be the growth of our country. No our women are scared, kept safety behind walls just like our goddess. I understand that this isn’t the end, this is just the begining. And it breaks my heart to see that a lot more daughters in every corner of our country are going to end upin silence.

Stop suffering in silence, stop hoping for a better world- you are the world! You are very oppressed woman. You are every unheard voice. You are the silent scream. You are responsible for a man who will grow up to disrespect women that do not adjust and compromise. You are the girl that cover her bruises, along with her mistakes. You think you are the healer, though you are only responsible for the destruction within. You are the tears that roll down her cheeks every night while she lies her naked dead body next to him. You are the girl who was killed before she could open eyes to this world. And you are also her who survived only to be married and sold at 13.

You cannot be identified with man or religion, for you are suppressed by both. You are every girl that ever chose the silence over the scream. You are the world that won’t give her equality she deserves. You are the girl who remains silent day after day. You are never going to be heard if you do notSPEAK
