Magic ! Listening this word the first thing may come in mind would be a magician pulling rabbit from an empty hat or transforming red silk handkerchief into the green.
Well literally it can be defined as one of the oldest performing arts in the world to entertain the audiences by seemingly impossible tricks and illusions using natural meanslike it’s used in J.K Rowling’s fiction.
But it’s not restricted to the entertainment as it’s serves a purpose too. Like everything comes into the existence with a purpose so do themagic .And it’s the purpose of magic which distinguish it asBlack and White.White magic is supposedly utilized for unselfish or good deeds such as to seek love or financial opportunities while Black or dark magic is to obtain power and harm others.

Back in time practitioners used voodoo dolls and spells for good in form of blessings and healings which proves thehopeful and optimistic sideof sorcery. But then comes dark and sinister phase too, when people in the name of black magic torture, assault or demand the human and animal sacrifices.. These offences are the result of weak minds who try to find out solution of their problems with such unnecessary supernatural feats.

After the dabholker murder case,Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of human sacrifice and other inhuman, Evil and Aghori practices and Black Magic Act, 2013came imposing ban on many such activities but is ban in only one state enough to fight against these increasing number of cases registered in entire country? Especially in rural areas where people are still not ready to accept their grievances and switch totantriksinblind faith. Or is this matter not yet mature to become a topic of argument in our parliament and can draw public to the streets !?
