They say experience is the best teacher. Where does this experience come from?? It comes from different encounters and phases we come across in our lives. I am sure you all must have had millions of experiences, and they all must have taught you something. As for me, I am about to share a little excerpt from my life that made me who I am today. A little shout out to my ex. So here it goes:

I said I love you,
You said you love me too.
On our first date, we go out,
Happiness captured in selfies with a pout.
We talk about all our likes and dislikes,
And suddenly it strikes my mind that we are so alike.
Everything was going just fine,
With expensive dine and red wine.
After a while, things began to change,
You started acting a little strange.
You began to abuse,
And I wondered what happened to, " You are my muse."
I asked you what's wrong,
You with a frown said I was coming way to strong.
You said you needed space,
I stood there blank, looking at your face.
You said, " let's take a break",
I stood there like a wreck.
You stopped calling,
I felt my heartbeat falling.
We break up and you left with a wink,
My heart skipped a beat, then it began to sink.
Happiness was replaced with tears,
And I was surrounded by my darkest fears.
After a week I heard from my friends, you moved on,
With feelings of hurt and despair, I told myself" Baby! Life goes on."

So did you figure out, where did I go wrong?? After years and years of thinking and overthinking, I finally realised that I loved him more than myself, more than he deserved. But I don't have any regrets or hard feelings, because he is the reason why I am strong and bold and confident today. He is the one who taught me to love myself.

So here I am, with Me Myself and I, perfectly happy and engrossed in loving myself. But did I forget him?? Did I move on?? I don't know. Hard to tell. But let bygones be bygones. Because, Baby! Life goes on.
