This amazing 2018 film is an movie adaptation of the famous book "The Hate U Give" by Angie Thomas.

The plot basically revolves around the racial discrimination against the black community by the white people throughout the film.

The movie starrs the lead actress Starr Carter played by Aandla Stenberg who played the role of a black girl fighting for their rights as a citizen.

When one day, Starr goes to a party with one of her friends, she meets her childhood best friend Khalil played by Algee Smith. They talk throughout the whole party since they met after so long. They catch up about all the random stuff but then suddenly there happens some shooting at the party due to some fight. Everyone has to run their way out from the party, Khalil asks Starr to drop her. On their way they talk about their love life and stuff. But then they were stopped by a police car and so they did. The police searches the car for any illegal stuff. And even though both of them were not on any kind of drugs still Khalil was asked to come out of the car and surrender for further checking. He does so reluctantly but then reaches for the comb inside the car even starr asks him to stay as asked but in her surprise the policeman misinterprets his comb to be a weapon and at the heat of the time shoots Khalil.

Starr was stunned with the sudden shoot and death of her childhood best friend. This is the point from where the movie reaches its climax and shows the fight and struggle of starr throughout the movie for their right and to get the policeman his deserved punishment for killing an innocent.

The film is indeed breathtakingly stunning in portraying the reality of how the black are treated in several parts by the whites. And their struggle to survive.

Definitely worth watching movie!! Such an exceptional and emotional movie, even I couldn't hold my tears back watching some scenes. You should definitely watch this to get a real close view of the racial discrimination.

The film is indeed a masterpiece and have done full justice to the depiction of the harsh discrimination and exploitation which black people has to go through on the daily basis in some or other part of the world. It does help us know their side of the story which is often untold due to the oppression of white. Thus one must definitely watch it to imbibe the harsh truth of the world they're living in.
