Oh! The Places One Could Go!

Every book lover around the world is in a constant lookout for the perfect nook to read our favourite book in. All that we need is a good place to sit in total isolation except for our best friend(that is, our book) and for no one to disturb us.Yet, we would also love to have a beautiful library which we could call ours. Who would say no to the beast's library with all its books and the oh so many corners to read in?

I mean, who would say no to this?! Alas, it is not totally possible in the real world. Yet, there are some places which will surely make anyone want to be a book lover just to go there. Here are some of those beautiful places where you could read your book around the world.

1. Alice in Magical Land, Tokyo

This a restaurant in Tokyo which has the theme of the story Alice in Wonderland, which has many wonderful characters like the imaginative girl with puffy dress named Alice, the walking and talking white rabbit, a talkative Cheshire cat and soldier-like cards. Each cubicle depicts different scenes from the book. the picture above is of an area designed to resemble the hedge maze into which Alice is lured into in the land of playing cards. The dishes here are also based on the different characters in the story. There is the'ragout sauce spaghetti' that is made to look like the Cheshire Cat. The staffs are also dressed in Alice inspired dresses. This is one of those places where any adult can turn into a child again by the power of the story.

2. The Library Hotel, Koh Samui, Thailand

This is a hotel in Thailand, which is designed in a minimalist manner and has a beautiful ambience. It is like an escape from the busy and noisy mainland in Thailand and gives you a tranquil environment where you could lose yourself in your books. The villas are named The Writer, The Editor and so on. There is a beautiful library stocked with glossy tea tables which would make it easy for you to create your own retreat. Another main attraction here is the deep red swimming pool where you can spend your time swimming or reading.

3. Shakespeare & Company bookshop, Paris

It is one of the must-see places for the book worms who visit Paris. The picture above reminded me of the town library that Belle goes to in the movie. It is one of the oldest bookstore and cafe, established in 1915. It is one of the only book stores in the middle of Paris which offers English books. It is only 3 minutes away from Notre-Dame Cathedral. They also hold many literary events frequently in the evenings which you might enjoy. There is also a reading library within the bookstore.

4. Book and Bed, Tokyo

Ever wanted to be surrounded by books, literally? Then, this is the place where you can fulfil your wish. This bookstore in Tokyo, allows you to stay inside the Japanese style cubicles which are inside the bookshelves. The customers can select any of the many English and Japanese books present and curl up inside their own cubicle to spend their time.
