It is all about knowing what you want in life and understanding your relationship potential. At many phases in your life, you introspect if you wish to be single or in a relationship or are you capable enough to get committed to one person and many other questions which remain unanswered in your mind. Well, it's okay not to know everything. Sometimes you have to let it go with the flow.

Being single has its fun. You do what you want when you want. You're basically on your own. And the only calendar you consult is...yours! And no compromises. You don't have to worry about negotiations and do what you desire without being apologetic about it.

You get plenty of "Me time." You spend more time knowing yourself, what you want out of life. Take some load off and eat the whole pizza all by yourself and forget about getting fat for once. Pfff. Not to ignore how the weight of your wallet changes when your relationship status changes.

Also, you become more focused in life. As we say it, the truth is always bitter; relationships can take a lot of your work and energy that could have been put to other aspects of life. When you are away from it, you try to focus on your goals more seriously without any distractions.

But this doesn't mean that being in a relationship is an obligation. Believe it or not, it is so better than being single.

You get yourself a partner in crime. It's so relaxing when you know no matter what life throws at me, and my other half has got my back. He's always there to support you, cheer you when you're on the top of your game and it feels incredible when he becomes your best friend with whom you can share anything and everything.

You become a better version of yourself. When two people are in a balanced, healthy relationship, they know how to push one another in the right direction. You experience the ups and downs of their journey, holding their hands and loving them through all the thick and thin. You get to realize that it isn't easy when you have to compromise and make sacrifices, but it is all worth it, in the end, to see them stand beside you holding your hand with a smile.
