Hike to the top of Dilayuma falls

The 220 meters high Diyaluma fall is the second highest waterfall of Sri Lanka. Diyaluma or Diya Haluma means 'rapid flow of water' or 'liquid light' in Sinhalese. Crossing the scenic fields and reaching to top is a victory in itself but the surprise doesn't ends here. Much to your surprise, it has different levels of natural pools where you can swim and soothe your soul. Some of them don't have harsh rocks and you could flip, twist, swim, relax in the water for as long as you can.

Swing at one of the palm trees

Sri lanka has become well known for its Instagram famous swing at Dalawella Beach. The beach will leave you spellbound and is an excellent recommendation. This one of a kind experience adds adventure to your soothing vacation. Dawns and dusks, both are great for photography point of view. The beach is perfect for some awesome sunset beach vibes. Just google the place and you will be all hearts after watching this scenic beach with this marvellous swing.

Wildlife spotting

Sri lankans are lucky to have a great selection of wildlife and marine life. The country has over 26 national parks with tantalizing tourism infrastructure and is one of the best countries in Asia to see so many different species. Also, it has nearshore coral reefs of diverse quality along about 2% (up to 32 km) of the linear coast. Coral Sanctuary is one of the best places for snorkelling and the sea water here is very clear. Hikkaduwa National Park is one of the three marine national parks in Sri Lanka and the national park contains a fringing coral reef of high degree of biodiversity. Scuba Diving is a prominent recreation here and Foliaceous Montipora species dominate the coral reef.

Surf and Chill

Sri lanka has a beautiful weather so that the people can surf 365 days a year. During high season in the east, surf in Arugam bay is world famous. Hikkaduwa and Weligama are other famous surfing spots where you can challenge yourself and know how bright you can shine! Sri Lanka is not only about fabulous food and soothing beaches, it is also about jaw-dropping experience of surfing.

Tea plantations trekking in Nuwara Eliyah

Nuwara eliyah is a beauty known for her impressive lush green tree plantations. This area together with Haputale is where Lipton tea started. Just rent a tuk tuk for a day and let him take you to the tree plantations, factories, viewpoint. Stop at different viewpoints and drink tea at the tea factories.

Currently, the government is advising not to visit the place due to the threat of terrorist attacks but once the topsy-turvy thing is settled, you could go and have solace there or challenge your limits.
