The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of islands, separated by the 150 km wide 10-degree channel, located at the juncture of the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal. They comprise a group of 572 islands and they are one of the seven union territories of India. The capital of the territory is Port Blair. The place was established in 1956 and it has a population of around 4 Lakh people. Official languages spoken in the territory are Hindi and English, and other regional languages like Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam are also spoken.

Daily direct flights to the islands are available from major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, and sometimes from Vishakhapatnam. Ships sailing to the islands from Chennai, Vizag, and Kolkata can also be taken to enjoy the luxury of a cruise ship as well. Sea travel is known to be cheaper than air travel, however, the journey time will be too high. It completely depends upon your choice. However, flights are the most preferred way to go there as they are faster and more comfortable.
