The Avengers are all in confusion when Tony and Bruce realize their mistake. They explain to the Avengers that their conception of time travel had been wrong. How it actually works is that, when a time traveler creates a change in the past, it would not change their future, but instead create a divergent timeline, in which the consequences of the change can be felt. And so, removing Infinity Stones from the past would create divergent timelines without the stones, but it would not affect their present. In order to snap back everyone who turned to dust, they must assemble all the Infinity Stones.

As the scope of their mission widened, the team begins to plan again. They prepare to extract the other five stones from different points in the past, but Steve points out that they are lacking a Gauntlet. Stark suggests that he could fashion one, but Nebula dismisses it. She tells them how only something made of Uru metal could harness the power of all the stones. Thor steps forward once again. Everyone has noticed that he seems different ever since he went to the past, he is more of his old self, joking and smiling some. He says that he knows someone who could get them the Gauntlet. Taking Bruce Banner and Carol Danvers along, he summons the Bifrost, to take them to Nidavellir.

They are greeted on Nidavellir by Eitri, who has the forge up and running now. Thor explains to him their situation and tells him that they need a Gauntlet as soon as possible. Eitri still has the mold from Thanos' glove and tells them that to use it would be the fastest method possible. He asks them if the size would fit anyone and if any of their team can handle the power of the stones. Both Thor and Carol immediately volunteer. However, from a corner, Bruce tells them that he thinks he would be the best option. "For one, the Hulk can easily wear the glove. And secondly, the stones emit gamma radiation. There's no one who can take gamma radiation like I can." Thor and Carol bend to his logic. He tells them to begin work and retreats to a more silent corner.

Meanwhile, somewhere in space, the Chitauri and the Outriders are mobilizing, and getting into ships. Leading them is Thanos, in his left hand, a Gauntlet burnt and melded to his skin. Yet, the Stones are all glowing.

The Gauntlet is forged without too much trouble, and as it cools, Thor calls Banner. But there is no reply. As he draws nearer, he hears conversation. And suddenly, it stops. Bruce's eyes fly open and his irises are green. He begins to transform into the Hulk. All the others are on guard, aware of what the green monster can do, but it is all unnecessary. Once the transformation is complete, the Hulk turns to them and speaks in Banner's voice. Professor Hulk explains to them that Banner and Hulk had been trying to get into a compromise for ages, and that's what he was working on in his lab most of the time. And now, he has finally succeeded.

Meanwhile, in the Avengers compound, things have slowed down as they wait for Thor to return with the Gauntlet. Suddenly, Clint notices something - a lone Chitauri inside the compound. He draws his swords, but more appear as portals open up all over the place. Soon, ships full of Chitauri and Outriders pour out into the compound. The Avengers suit up and run to meet them - Steve now takes his old shield into battle again. As they approach the gathering army, presently doing nothing and looking restless, a bigger portal opens near the front. And stepping out of it is Thanos.

I'm liking the development of your version of the Endgame. "They explain to the Avengers that their conception of time travel had been wrong. How it actually works is that, when a time traveler creates a change in the past, it would not change their future, but instead create a divergent timeline, in which the consequences of the change can be felt. And so, removing Infinity Stones from the past would create divergent timelines without the stones, but it would not affect their present. " This is exactly the explanation a lot of us were looking forward to, in the movie. A lot more logic applied into it.
