As we all know the story of the pied piper of Hamelin.
(Okay!for those who don't know!)
In 1284, while the town of Hamelin was suffering from a rat infestation, a piper dressed in multicolored ("pied") clothing appeared, claiming to be a rat-catcher. He promised the mayor a solution to their problem with the rats. The mayor, in turn, promised to pay him for the removal of the rats. (According to some versions of the story, the promised sum was 1000 guilders.) The piper accepted and played his pipe to lure the rats into the Weser River, where they all drowned.

Despite the piper's success, the mayor reneged on his promise and refused to pay him the full sum (reputedly reduced to a sum of 50 guilders) even going so far as to blame the piper for bringing the rats himself in an extortion attempt. Enraged, the piper stormed out of the town, vowing to return later to take revenge. On Saint John and Paul's day, while the adults were in church, the piper returned dressed in green like a hunter playing his pipe. In so doing, he attracted the town's children. A hundred and thirty children followed him out of town and into a cave and were never seen again.

Now we have completed the story of Hamelin now let's know about my story. Being a citizen of Bangalore we need to attend at least 2 to 3 family functions or friends get to gather parties. Also, you should not forget Bangalore not only consists of a huge number of doves and engineers it also coninsts of a humongous number of Gossip Aunties.

These aunties will be there in every family and friends( I wonder why?) and their hobby is to compare their kids with others and ask a lot of irritative questions to youngsters like us.

Example: " What are you doing these days yaa?"
"These kids of this generation don't know what is difficulties"
( Lol, we hadAlgebra and geometry, that says it all)
and the example is vast we can write a book !
In all these functions and parties, I used to face the same questions like 'how much is your grades, have you improved ? see my child he scored 92 now he is aiming for 98!'

So I decided to let me do what I wanted to do so started the storytelling business in family functions and parties.

Surrounded by all tiny kids in the center I like a pied piper of Hamelin (without a flute) in the background there would be marriage going on or party would have been started at some distance from where I used to say science fiction, adventurous, horror stories of my own and in a less than minutes children followed me like a pied piper of Hamelin.

And I was saved from these aunties!

The best feeling was that the kid's excitement in their eyes and every time they fight to sit in front row brings me goosebumps!

This is how storytelling made me like a pied piper of Hamelin
