The lady whose name is Xin Zhui she also known as lady Dai is a mummified woman of china’s Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) who still has her own hair, is soft to the touch ,and has ligaments that still bend , much like a living person

ABOUT XIN ZHUI :-

 Xin Zhui (died 168 BC), also known as Lady Dai or Marquise of Dai, was the wife of Li Cange  the Marquis of Dai and Chancellor of changsha kingdom, during the  ancient China. She gained fame more than 2,000 years after her death, when her tomb was discovered inside a hill known as Mawan in changsha, Hunan, China. After opening the tomb, workers discovered her exceptionally well preserved remains alongside hundreds of valuable artifacts and documents. Her body and belongings are currently under the care of the Hunan,  which has allowed occasional international exhibits.

In 1968, workers digging an air raid shelter for a hospital near Changsha unearthed the tomb of Xin Zhui, as well as the tombs of her husband and a young man who is most commonly thought to be her son. With the assistance of over 1,500 local high school students, archaeologists began a large excavation of the site beginning in January 1972. Her body was found within four rectangular pine constructs that sat inside one another which were buried beneath layers of charcoal and white clay. The corpse was wrapped in twenty layers of clothing bound with silk ribbons.

Her body was remarkably well preserved in an unknown fluid inside the coffin. Her skin was soft and moist, with muscles that still allowed for her arms and legs to flex at the joints. All her organs and blood vessels were also intact, with small amounts of A blood being found in her veins. There was hair on her head, with a wig pinned with a hair clasp on the back of her head. There was skin on her face, and her eyelashes and nose hair still exist. The tympanic membrane of her left ear was intact, and her finger and toe prints were distinct.

HOW DID XIN ZHUI DIE ?

CAUSE OF DEATH:- An autopsy of lady dai was performed in December of 1972. It revealed that she died in her 50s, most likely of a heart attack that resulted from poor health. According to historians, Xin zhui was an esteemed noble women who lived a lavish life of privilege and luxuzy.

HOW LONG AGO DID LADY DAI(XIN ZHUI)  DIE ? 

He died in 186 B.C ,20 some years before his wife died. His tomb was looted repeatedly in antiquity. There were no remains.

WHO FOUND LADY DAI ?

Lady dai’s tomb was discovered in 1971 by workers digging an air raid shelter on the outskirts of Changsha in hunan province . it was said that it was 3 layers of tombs , on the first layer was her husband (Li Cheng) then her and the third was said to be the son of lady dai and Li cheng’s brother
