TV series and movies do influence people’s lives in a major way. Sometimes it is a positive influence and sometimes it is a negative influence. The only way i feel films and tv could affect you is by causing u to be an addict to spend more of your time indulging in these things and giving them priority over your other activities apart from that it is just an awesome mode of entertainment which helps you shift your attention, make you feel lighter and in the process might even teach you a thing or two. I like to learn stuff from what I watch every day.
My personal favourite is FRIENDS, no matter how I feel watching an episode of friends is a major stressbuster for me. 22 minutes of the show any day makes me feel fresh and light. And while in the world of the six friends, I learned lessons of friendship, love, humour, weirdness because F.R.I.E.N.D.S. had every possible instance of life to make us feel related. This, I'm sure every fan of the show would agree to. I can’t thank enough Marta Kauffman and David Craneand all the writers, producer, cameramen all the crew people for making such a great show.
These six guys who are as normal as we are, really shows us that no matter how sad, poor you are, you can always be happy if you have true friends/family to whom you can share your joyful/sorrow moments with. They show or rather prove us that even without being rich, beautiful/handsome, life can be made a happy place filled with love and laughter just by following your heart and by the company of true friends. I feel short of words here to write about F.R.I.E.N.D.S (1994–2004). I would suggest everyone to watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S. No doubt this series is a great stress-buster but also, it’ll teach some great lessons for life.
Like this there are many other series and movies which have so much to learn from like Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, The Fault in Our Stars, and Star Wars.
Another one which I would like to mention is Paul and Master Oogway from the movie “Kung Fu Panda”, Chris Gardner from “The pursuit of happiness” and Yipman from “IP Man” series.
“Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is mystery and today is a gift, that's why they call it present”- Master Oogway. This teaches us not to dwell your mind in “past and future” but focus on present moment. We can't change history and past. No one can read the future; hence we can just hope for best. While “Present”, right this moment, you can choose how you want to live.
So, the people’s behaviour if at all, needs to improve either by seeing themselves in some character or by trying to be like a character that inspires you on screen. The rest is the viewer’s choice.
