Knowledge On Greek Mythology From The Percy Jackson Series

I have already written about the Percy Jackson series, which is one of my favourite series. All the knowledge I have on the Greek mythology and the Roman mythology, is from the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series.I would definitely recommend everyone to read these series. I would like to list a few Greek gods and Goddesses that I know.

1.Zeus
Zeus is the king of the Gods and the king of Olympus. He is the lord of the sky and lightning, most importantly. His wife is goddess Hera. His Roman equivalent is Jupiter. He is a part of the big three. His weapon is the master bolt of lightning.

2.Poseidon
Poseidon is the god of seas. He has control over water. He is also a part of the big three along with Zeus. His Roman equivalent is Neptune. His weapon is a trident.

3.Hades
Hades is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld. He is a part of the big three. His Roman equivalent is Pluto. His weapon is the helm of darkness.

4.Hera
Hera is the Queen of Olumpus and the wife of Zeus. She is the godess of women and marriage. Her Roman equivalent is Juno.

5.Aphrodite
Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty. Her Roman equivalent is Venus.

6.Athena
Athena is goddess of wisdom. She is the daughter of Zeus. Her Roman quivalent is Minerva.

7.Ares
Ares is the god of war and violence. He is the son of Zeus and Hera. His Roman equivalent is Mars.

8.Apollo
Apollo is the god of Sun, music and art. He is the twin brother of Artemis. His weapon is a golden bow. His Roman equivalent is as Apollo.

9.Artemis
Artemis is the goddess of archery and hunting. She is the twin sister of Apollo. Her Roman equivalent is Diana.

10.Demeter
Demeter is the goddess of agriculture. Her Roman equivalent is Ceres.

11.Persephone
Persephone is the godess of vegetation. She is the Queen of underworld and wife of Hades. Her Roman equivalent is Proserpina.

12. Hermes
Hermes is god of messengers and god of thieves. He is the messenger of gods. His Roman equivalent is Mercury.

13.Hephaestus
Hephaestus is the god of fire. He is the son of Hera.

14.Dionysus
Dionysus is the god of wine. He is the son of Zeus. His Roman equivalent is Bacchus.

I learned more about Greek mythology from the series than anywhere else! Loved it. Nicely written.
