5 Reasons Why Engineering Is A Better Choice Than Medical

Indian parents always give a great sense of freedom after their child’s completion of high school. Don’t they? Predominantly, they give us a great choice of being an Engineer or being a Doctor! With college admission time beginning to heat up, I find no better time than this to write this article. Don’t worry fellas, I’ll nor be forcing you to prefer a certain course just like your neighbor aunty or your very caring uncle. At the same time, I’ll keep it short unlike my 16-mark answer in my Engineering exam. Here are few points that I felt being a student.

Duration
For people who wanted to settle soon with a professional course degree, Engineering should be your choice. Unless or until you don’t have any subjects to clear after 4 years, you will be provided with the graduation certificate. Now myself being in the final year of my engineering I can mock my medical friends as much I can.

Marks? Meh!
I know the pain of studying 28 hours a day during the board exams. With Lakhs of engineering college across India, your marks never really matter unless you have failed in the board exams. Why to worry, with tonnes and tonnes of colleges opening every year, especially in the southern part of India.With an average mark it is guaranteed that you could land up in a decent college or at least a below average college that could offer you a degree.

Holidays – no studies
After having such a pressurized academic year, it is important that you give a break to both your body and mind. I’m sorry medical aspirants, you are not supposed to do that. You’re supposed to study, study and study! There are many engineering colleges that gives direct admission based on your board exam marks as well. So, cheers!

Arrears? Anytime!
Most of the engineering Universities gives you the advantage of carrying your arrear throughout 4 years of academic life i.e. you can clear your first year paper even in your final year whereas in medical your are not going to second year unless you clear all of your first year papers. I’ve seen my fellow classmates clearing 15 or even 20 papers in a single semester.

Engineers – Super heroes
Engineering gives opportunity to switch carriers easily. Engineer can be Sales executive, he can be HR manager or anything other than being “The Engineer” Engineering teaches the ability to adapt and guts to do things. Presence of engineers in different fields can vary from the range of Chetan Bhagat to Kriti Sanon.

Conclusion
Marks could be the deciding factor, but it can’t make everything fruitful for you. Choose what you’re passionate about and don’t try to be passionate on what you’ve chosen.
