The Ganesh Atharvashirsha is a sanskrit spiritual-religious text that is dedicated in the praise of Lord Ganesha. It is a very old hindu text that finds its association with the Atharvaveda. It's one of the short upanishads in the hindu scriptures and considers Lord Ganesha as param-brahma or the supreme God. It is believed that the Path was written by Atharva Rishi after he had Ganesh Darshan. Ganesh Atharvashirsha is also known as Ganapati Atharvashirsha or Ganesh Atharva Path.

Importance of Ganesh Atharvashirsha.

In the hindu scriptures and mythology, Lord Ganesha is considered as the God of wisdom. Worshipping him before any new work is considered auspicious and fruitful. Atharvashirsha is a text in praise of Lord Ganesha, considering him above all. Ganesha is also considered as the first god. He is required to be pleased with prayers and offerings, if one wants to conduct or begin something without hassles. Ganesh Atharvashirsha is a notch further in this light. There are various versions of Ganesh Atharvashirsha, but the message in all of them remains the same, i.e., hailing the supremacy of Ganesha over other Gods and Goddesses.
