As the stress of the modern society is increasing, more and more people feel like they are incompetent and that they are good for nothing. As human beings we constantly compare ourselves with others to make us feel good about ourselves, but sometimes we end up feeling like a mess. Depression has been ignored by us for so long as none of us thought that it was a real disease. Everyone thought that a day off from work, eating some good food and sleeping would cure that. However, depression is serious, it has claimed many lives. That is why it is necessary that you visit a doctor and take the proper medication.

Now-a-days, as people are becoming aware of how dangerous depression is,they come out and talk about it. With the constantly changing society some people cannot adapt to their surroundings. Mental health also gets affected along with physical health so it is necessary that you visit a therapist and talk things through. Talking with friends solves the depression, that is a myth, you need proper medical care. Mental health is very important because you can't function well at your office if you are having suicidal thoughts or feel like you are about to have a breakdown. We must all take some time out in a 24 hour long day for ourselves and enjoy what we love the most, like reading a book or listening to music. If someone is diagnosed with depression be nice to them. Don't upset them because you don't know what it took for them to get up this morning and show up. A little kindness won't cost you anything but your rude behaviour may cost someone their life.

People have become mean as everyone has their own problems to deal with. It is necessary that you should know about depression and if you see anyone struggling with it you help them in making a right choice and visiting to the doctor. Sometimes people don't know that they are suffering from depression in the first place. The world is moving fast but remember all we have is each other. Be kind and helpful, you never know your smile to your co-worker may just save his life. Depression is nothing to be ashamed of, it is a disease like any other, and with proper medical guidance and being in a healthy atmosphere, people can make speedy recoveries.
