But, is the definition of crime only limited to the scenario? The actual definition of crime isthat it can be defined as an act , which is caused by the intention of hurting a person or his reputation, or producing harm to his property. There are a few characteristics that are required to be present in act, in order to call it a crime, which includes, in the most basic concept an actus rea and a mens rea, i.e., action must be done and there must be guilty mind at the time the act was done , respectively. The other characters that need to be present for an act to be called as a crimeincludes that the harm done to the victim must be legally forbidden and the act must be voluntarily done by the criminal. Though to the exceptions to both these prevails, the act done by the criminal could be added in criminal jurisprudence of law based on the severity of the act done by the person. The affidavit could be prepared by the petitioner, to be presented in the court of law, in order to amend a law related. The exception to the second characteristics , that includes voluntary harm , involves the cases wherethe accused is misleaded regarding the intention of the victim , which could include, causing a kind of a fear in him , that the victim had an intention to kill him.
