Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus for €100m in July 2018. The club claimed that it was Madrid’s all-time leading goal scorer’s decision to leave the club. Ronaldo in his interview with France Football, said how he saw the change in Pérez’s attitude towards him, not considering him in the same way as he did when Ronaldo first started playing.
He expressed how he was not doing it for money as Juventus and Madrid paid him at par. If it would have been for money he would have been playing in China where he would earn five times the amount he earns in Juventus. People said that it was his choice to leave the club but to some extent, it was the fact that he felt like he was not wanted anymore. Juventus wanted him and they made it clear. He said how the president wanted him but also his attitude showed how his leaving the club won’t be much of a problem.

Ronaldo is 34 years old and it’s the age where players the twilight of their career although he still defies his age factor with commendable performances. Maybe this became a reason for his move to Italy to win his third European League Title with a different club. With the departure of Cristiano, Real has sights on Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Eden Hazard and to some extent Harry Kane. Though Spurs have no intentions of letting Neymar go and Spurs have a new contract with Kane. Madrid currently has Mariano as their no “7”.
