Cultural practices are known to all and are powerful tools to safeguard one’s nationality and reign. At its most basic, the centrality of culture involves an apparent paradox.

As a defining attribute culture is an important aspect of any human phenomenon including how people shape environment , use them and interact with them.

Different human cultures have had varying effects on their environments. Some cultures, particularly hunter-gatherer and small-scale agricultural societies, have little environmental impact. Urban and industrial societies have the greatest effect on the environment, using great amounts of resources to fuel their activity.

Culturally in India there is a tradition of conservation of forests through creation if scared groves. It is a traditional means of biodiversity conservation where no one is permitted to cut trees or okants, kill animals and birds or harm any form of life.

Similarly saving animals is another cultural practice.

It is thus important to understand that nature of relevant groups, for many cultural practices may be iver-related and may not be useful or appropriate. However “Culture “ is relevant and it’s role is an inescapable aspect in conserving the environment.
