Here I am again trying to provoke your thoughts on things we generally do not discuss. The title may give you a little hint as to what I'll be speaking about in this article. Keep guessing and keep reading 😉.Now this article maybe linked to my previous article "We are not free" (yet another hint) so yes continue reading.

You know there are a lot of similarities between soldiers and us. Let's begin with what soldiers do and then I'll go for the similarities.

Soldiers leave their homes to serve the country. Soldiers sacrifice their time with their family in order to protect our nation.

Soldiers do not have enough time spend with their parents. Soldiers do not see their child's birth and their first days. Soldiers do not see their kids growing. Soldiers are not able to attend their family events which is very saddening. Ultimately, soldiers do not know when they will return to their homes or even will they ever be able to return.

Now, as common people, we also go through the same phases as the soldiers do (I'm not going to list out the things again 😉, hope you don't mind 😊).

You must be thinking we are with our families then how come we are missing out in all the things just like soldiers.

Here is the difference. Soldiers are serving a huge purpose by serving our nation and protecting us. This is why they are not able to lead a family life. Even we are not able to lead a family life but for a entirely complete different reason. We are not able to lead a family life because of the technology. If you observe in your family, everyone has a gadget, any gadget. The kids may have tablets and Ipads, the elders will have phones and laptops. The TV will be running without anyone seeing it. It is as thought if we do not listen to the noises from these gadgets, our day will not get started. We are not able to lift our heads from these screens. Once we switch on these devices, we are not able to lift our heads and see what is happening around us. So do you get the idea?? We ARE missing out all the family fun only because of a different small reason which is making a huge difference in our lives.

So, I guess you might agree with me, we are similar to soldiers but we are not similar to them at all. They are serving the country by sacrificing everything and we are sacrificing everything to sit with our gadgets. So it is up to you now. Soldiers are living a happy life by sacrificing everything and with no access to any privileges. We have all the privileges and still we are missing out on everything.

Let's take a step away from the gadgets and a step towards are family and friends. Let's be happy and wish the soldiers are happy too 😊.

Enjoy!!
