Kanha tiger reserve is one of the most famous tiger reserve .It has a famous indian bengal tiger which lives in the reserve.

I wanted to see the tiger in the wild, I got a golden opportunity visit the place as i got of a week adn thought that by using this time i can go and visit the tiger in kanha tiger reserve. and rejuvenate myself for a new beginning. So, without wasting time, I packed my rucksack and proceeded for a trip of a lifetime.I took a train to kanhaand inside i was very exitied to see the tiger in there natural habitat.

Kanha national park is one of the finest national parks of India and spread across Banjar and Halon valleys in the Mandla and Balaghat districts in Madhya Pradesh.

I started my journey from mumbai, the epicenter of my life and reached Kanha National Park, that lies in Madhya Pradesh. The grassy meadows, meandering streams and lush forests of Sal and Bamboo trees greeted me with open arms and the whole place was filled with lush garden and the nature was every ware that i looked andit felt very nice.Just like in movie the nature does not despoint one at all .Nature is pure and just feel nice to be surrounded by them.

This national park is home to diverse flora and fauna and to get a glimpse of this rare collection of Mother Nature, I stayed in the Kanha Jungle Lodge for 3 days.

As the name reflects, this serene lodge is located amidst the dense Sal forest, just 1 km from Mukki entrance of the park. The people that were present were the nicestest person that i meet they took care of the animal as they are there children. They gave us a warm welcome and gave us delicious meal and gave us information on the reserve adn help us to get accustomed to the jungle environment.

I must admit, the first day of my stay in this lodge was memorable. With the onset of dusk, the different flies and cricket did not let me sleep in the night.

The sky in the night was very preety and the accomodation was also good and well maintained. Next morning, after having breakfast we moved for jungle safari with a travel guide. He introduced us to the various wildlife species residing in this park. Some of the mammal species which I noticed during my safari were Bison, Gaur, Sambhar, Barasingha, Monkeys, etc. They were local and were local species that were found in india.

To cover the entire length of Kanha National Park, one requires at least 3-4 days. And for staying you can count on the many jungle resorts that are there in and around the national park. Only there are state-run hotel is inside the park premises as they don't allow people to have there personal hotel be build in the jungle premises.. All other resorts are situated in the nearby villages. They also organize barbecue dinners and folk dance performances by local tribals. Most of the Jungle resorts provide facilities of Jungle Safaris along with a guide.

I was ableto spot the tiger on the first day it self and i felt very happy while seeing the tiger and i rember that the tiger was very close to our jeep adn we were able to feed the tiger some meet and it became very calm by seeing us .I also captured some stunning images of tiger and how they were interacting with the environment.Truly this rendezvous with Tigers in Kanha was delightful and will always remain in my memories.
