Did you ever hear about, Good things come to an end one day? And those good things will give you a lot of happiness when they are with you. The same was once experienced by a girl. She met with an accident and she had the basketball tournaments the next week. She was dull and upset by what had happened to her, she never thought an accident could make her miss an important day of the match. The Doctors said she had a Ligament Tear in her ankle and she should take rest for at least one to two months. Also, the Doctors mentioned that if she doesn’t take rest, she would have to have an operation and may never play further. That day she felt pain both in her ankle and in her heart. She was shifted to the general ward where many other children suffered with similar conditions. She was beside a boy who broke his arm and a leg in an accident. His arm was recovered soon but his leg needed a lot more care and time to recover. He had a therapy session daily and took rest. The girl once asked him for how long has he been in the hospital. The boy smiled and said it’s been three months. Hearing him, she was scared and asked her mother that if she also would need to stay in the hospital for two months? Her mother calmed her down and told her she would be in the hospital only for a few days. The girl was relieved after she heard that. Next morning, after the boy’s therapy session, she played games like UNO, Jenga, Monopoly, Chess and many board games with him. The girl and boy didn’t have any siblings so both of them enjoyed each another’s company a lot. After a week, she was discharged and promised the boy to meet him soon. Days passed, she recovered, and the first thing she asked her father was not to take her to the Basketball court but to take her to the hospital to see her friend. She came to the hospital and asked for the boy but sadly he was discharged that week. Her Father asked for the details of the boy but according to the hospital’s rules and regulations, they couldn’t share the details with anyone. She was sad that she didn’t say a proper goodbye to the boy. Those good days were never back in her life. She made many friends but could never have the same bond as she had with the boy in the hospital. She was a bit happy to have those good days in her life. Good things end one day. It doesn’t mean only things but also the moments. So never wish to have good things or situations to be endless, instead cherish them.
