Around 6000 years ago:
  • "Human was in search of water and today still in search of water"

  • "He was in search of fresh air and today still in search of fresh air."

But the difference is only the availability of both the things.

  • We've come a long way sincethe days when we have a balanced climate, vegetation, civilization, rich variety of flora and fauna and the focus is mostly on social issues.

But Climate change is also a social issue not just an Environmental one.

It also has social dimensions

  • Small farmers will feel the effects, Rural and urban poor are the hardest hit, Unequal capacity for adaptation, Communities will be forced to relocate.

It is all the transcendence of human race that people today reach the height of maximum luxury upgrading from the days of their very ancient Stone and Cave age. What human being has achieved today was once only a dream out of reach. But man’s curiosity—perhaps the most wonderful gift given to man by God was behind his quest leading to wholehearted efforts to convert all impossible dreams of yesteryears into reality.

Today in the 21st century, men have reasons enough to be proud for their unique achievements. From stepping into the moon, there has been a long list of tremendous success of science and technology. But restless people’s mind has still enough desire for even greater achievements. And there is every reason to believe that in the coming days many of such dreams would be possible for us.

Human achieved almost everything in this race but lost the source of their basic needs. Around 3/4th part of earth is covered from water still we experience a huge water crisis recently in Chennai which is daunting. Delhi experienced “Very poor “Air Quality down by 33% in last 4 years. Paris set an all-time record temperature of 108.7 degrees. Heat wave demolishing records by such an obscene margin over such a large area.
CLIMATE CHANGE IS NO LONGER SOME FAR OFF PROBLEM ;IT IS HAPPENING HERE, IT IS HAPPENING NOW.

The day is not far off when you need to pay for fresh air & fresh air out of a bottle is a rather expensive affair which is impossible to achieve formost of us.

Well, we don't understand where our future is headed if this is where we have already reached.

We Are the First Generation that Can End Poverty, the Last that Can End Climate Change’, Following are UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s remarks upon receiving an honorary degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, in Belgium.

The impact of climate change can be seen fromfrom a lake that disappeared in Bolivia, to a Pacific island nation slowly being swallowed by the ocean, to an Alaska town threatened by increased flooding and erosion.

This Is How World Cities Will Change If We Don’T Stop Climate Change.

LONDON will feel like BARCELONA
MOSCOW will be similar to SOFIA
MADRID will be more like MARRAKECH

And many in the Northern hemisphere will feel Subtropical.

NEED OF THE HOUR:

We cannot remain strangers to environmental issues. One inexpensive and effective climate change solution, according to a recent study, is forest restoration. It is equally significant to protect existing forests and to phase out fossil fuels because fresh forests would take decades, maybe a century, to mature and reduce carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Temperatures are likely to rise by at least 3 degrees by the end of this century

If a trillion trees (approximately one third of the existing forest cover) are planted for picking up nearly 830 billion tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere (spread in past 25 years) atmospheric carbon dioxide would reduce by nearly 25 percent.

SO, the best way to fight climate change is to plant trees.

Man can live joyously only with nature, not against nature…We are part of nature! How can we conquer it? We are nature; to fight with nature is to fight with oneself.
