Deleting Texts

Did you ever send that embarrassing drunk/ angry text to your ex? Did the message about a girl reach the girl itself? Well, in such cases WhatsApp has a delete message option, just click the message → delete→ delete for everyone. Now, this is only available for 10 mins or so. If you have to delete an overnight text, follow this method. Turn off your internet connection. Go to your mobile settings → date and time→ change the date and time to whenever you texted. Go back to WhatsApp and follow the old routine.

Font styles

Did you know that WhatsApp has a special code that can change your font style? I found it quite surprising too, until my friend showed me how to do it.

For Bold: Put a star sign on both the ends of the text. Like this *one direction* and you will get one direction

For Italic: Put an underscore on both the sides of the text. _directioner_ and you will get directioner

For Typewriter font: Add three [ ‘] on both sides. ‘‘‘Moments’’’ and you get Moments
For a strikethrough text: Add ~ on both the ends and you will get just what you want.
You can even combine the fonts.

Reading texts without letting the sender know.

Do you have that irritating friend that sends you forwarded messages or unimportant messages that waste your time? Sometimes, you feel they might send an important message and open the chat. You don’t reply and they make a whole ruckus out of it. To avoid such situations. Go to WhatsApp settings→ account→ privacy → turn off read receipts. The person will be unaware since they don’t get to see your blue ticks. The only disadvantage here is, you cannot see their blue ticks too. So, you are left wondering if you got ignored.

Send your location

My friends usually have the habit of getting lost when we plan an outing. They reach some other place without any knowledge. This is a new feature of WhatsApp wherein you can send your location to your friend. To do so, click on the pin on the message bar → select location and send it to your friend. Even in matters of Safety, you can send your location to your family and friends.

Hide your status

Hide your status from the stalkers eyes and from the eyes of bad people. Go to settings→ account→ privacy→ status→ My contacts except or only share with. Hide it from those people. Easy way of being away from those stalky eyes.
