Reis Magos

Reis Magos is situated on the banks of Mandovi River. It sits on a hilltop and no vehicles are allowed till the fort, thus you have to walk. The entrance stuns you as it has beautiful death holes [Irony alert]. These holes were made by the conquerors and they would order the soldiers to pour hot oil through the holes, thus killing the enemies at the entrance. Rich Portuguese architecture is reflected through the forts walls which was built in the 1990’s. This place has a cool and calm scenery for you to enjoy.

Bondla wildlife sanctuary

The one and only Wildlife sanctuary in Goa is situated in between a very large flora. After the counter, there is like a small nature walk till you actually reach the animal cages. It is crowded as everyone finds it like a picnic spots including schools and colleges. It is authorised by the forest department of Goa. It is a beautiful enclosure for any animal. One thing that makes it different is that, it has more animals and if you are lucky, you might find a migratory bird there. If you love nature and animals, this is a place for you.

Haunted Places in Goa

You are probably wondering, why I’d put this in a travel list? But hey, supernatural fans ain’t gonna stop till they see and fix the haunted beings. Goa has a fair number of said haunted places. Haunted beings are everywhere. What if Bangalore has a movie on it? [stree] it doesn’t mean Goa doesn’t have haunting beings. You just have to find these places where there are unwanted presences. Some places are Jakni Bandh,Navelim. D’mello House, Raia etc.

Visit the beaches

Goa is considered relaxing because of the cool beaches it has. All the cool air, the hot sand, the bit of sun tan and the popular water sports make your holidays worth living . The shacks here and their foods keep your stomach at the peak. Though you require a lot of money to spend here, you will enjoy your stay at the beaches. Colva Beach, Anjuna, Palolem, Baga and Calangute are some of the famous beaches you have got to see.

Explore the Churches

Goa was ruled by Portuguese who left their culture behind. With that they left some beautiful churches that stand strong till date. These churches have beautiful architecture and furniture. The Christians have good faith and go to the churches evryday. These churches are protected by the people here. Some churches you should see are: Bom Jesus, Old Goa/ Se Cathedral, Old Goa/ St.Philip and James, Cortalim and others.
