The spring is here

With pleasing sounds for the ear

Of the cuckoos cooing,

And the wind blowing

The grasses rustle,

And the bees move about in hustle

From flower to flower

Gathering honey without dissipating an hour

The grasses go green,

With dew drops over making it sheen

Now I could see the flowers bloom

All over my little room

Just like the smile of a girl in love

Then comes the summer

With vacations round the corner

The exuberance in the kids arise,

Which can be witnessed in their winsome eyes

The sun will be bright,

And there will be shorter nights

There might be days of scorching heat

Making it difficult to walk on the streets

Then it’s off to the beaches and pool

Just to keep ourselves cool

After the blazing summer is the monsoon

Which has come up just like a boon

With the September clouds gathering above

Bringing in showers of happiness and love

The fragrance of the moist air,

The sight of lovely couples here and there

And the peacocks dancing with grace

Can bring about a smile on someone’s face

The glimpse of a rainbow

Is all that is needed to make a face glow

The sound of the rain spattering

Just like a small kid chattering

All this makes monsoon

One of the best season which has to be back soon

Ushering the winter comes the Fall

Better known as Autumn by all

With Halloween and Thanksgiving coming

Another season is beginning

The leaves on the trees turn golden brown

Making the trees shed them down

And when on the ground,

They make a crackling sound

Autumn takes away all the green

Gold and brown is all that can be seen

Hence comes the most blissful season,

That is my favourite without any reason

With the gleaming snow on the ground,

And festive mood all around

Winter is cold with the gust of snow,

And snowflakes falling from heaven like a magic show

Then comes the Santa in his beautiful sleigh

Bringing in gifts for the Christmas day

Thus we go round a year

And greet every season with cheer

Waiting for it to come all over again
